A native New Yorker, I studied at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence, Rhode Island where I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting.

After September 11th my creative interests expanded and changed - as has my City. After years of painting and printmaking landscapes and botanical imagery I have merged my love of animals into my art work.

I create in 'series' that usually span a time period of several years. My work evolves using different mediums and subject matter. The consistency and strength of color, pattern and design are evident throughout the body of work  as seen in these seven galleries. The serigraph editions are small runs. The monoprints are 'one of a kind' pieces. All of the work is produced solely by the artist.

My work is in many private and corporate collections throughout the United States, Europe and Asia, including the US State Department's Embassy Art Bank program, the RISD permanent collection, Johnson & Johnson, Sanford Bernstein Inc., Holiday Inn International and The New York Graphic Society. Most recently a piece was purchased by UNICEF and hangs in their headquarters in Switzerland. I would be happy to provide you with a complete list of lifetime exhibitions upon request.

An avid conservationist, I have been asociated with the Wildlife Conservation Society's Central Park Zoo since 1990. As a member of the New York Road Runners Club I completed my fifth NYC Marathon and have called it a day and hung up my sneakers and medals.

I am an avid movie fan and write film reviews for a growing list of readers. To visit this site and become a Lobo Howl's reader go to Movie Reviews or go to: http://judithwolfe.com/lobosmoviereviews.
