| Movie Review: Cookie's Fortune Story: Robert Altman's (I am a big fan) homage to
the deep South. Everyone is a character, divided into the dumb, the
stupid, the slow, the dimwitted and the occasionally clever. Basically
a family matriarch commits suicide, it is somewhat 'covered up' and
then gets untangled. The rambling story lines get resolved in the last
ten minutes, so pay attention.
Starring: Glenn Close (in her Garpest), Liv
Tyler (a bit less pouty here), Julianne Moore (I
don't know why she isn't in more films) and a whole bunch of other solid
supporting characters.
