| Movie Review: Galaxy Quest Story: All right, I confess! I am a Star Trek nut.
I love all of the Star Trek incarnations: the original, the Next Generation,
Deep Space Nine and even Voyager. Oh, to have only known a star ship
Captain. Hats off to Captain's Kirk, Picard, Sisko and Janeway - I salute
you all and as a tribute I went to see Galaxy Quest. A satire based
on the sci-fi convention phenomenon where the 'cast' gets pulled into
real deep space to perform their magic as on TV. Matter, anti-matter,
it doesn't matter...it is just plain funny. If you like Star Trek, space
anomalies, worm holes, black holes, M-class planets and replicated food,
this film is for you. Go see it at Warp speed.
Acting: Who cares? It was just silly fun. Tim
Allen, Sigorney Weaver (spoofing her other outer space films)
Alan Rickman (always delicious) and a cast of other
fun creatures, nerds and hangers on.
Pets: None
Visual Art: None-but lots of good outer space landscapes.
Sappy Factor: 3
Quirky Meter: 0
Soundtrack: I don't remember
Length: Way under the 2 hour rule.
LOBO HOWLS: 6
