| Movie Review: Hideous Kinky Story: The screen adaptation of Esther Freud's
(yes, a relative) autobiographical novel of a young English mother who
drags her two young daughters to Morocco in 1972. The story, which becomes
more of a travelogue, rambles all over the place and ends up as incomplete
vignettes. The soundtrack groans on with Richie Havens
tunes, America's Horse With No Name and of
course Grace Slick also becomes too obvious.
Acting: Kate Winslet (sans Titanic) is good as are
the two yound girls. Morocco is the star (if you have any desire to
go there).
