| Movie Review: Kinky Boots Alternate Title: Whatever Lola Wants, Lola Gets
Story: There must be a special place
in the British Isles for feel-good films with a touch of social implication
thrown in the mix. Can't we all just get along? Apparently in Britain
we can - if we all just get to know one another a bit better. This time out we get a young, fourth generation
shoe factory owner whose recently inherited company is dying, a sad
drag queen named Lola, an accidental meeting and before
you know it everyone is on a new career path. Yes the film is formulaic and predictable but
it is a heck of a fun ride for two hours. And what's wrong with a film
that is simply heartwarming and entertaining? Acting: Everyone hit their mark with special kudos
to Chiwetal Ejiofor (Dirty Pretty Things) as Lola.
